Armando Pérez Alemán (Cienfuegos, Cuba, 1955) is a writer and sculptor based in Miami since 1980. He studied Literature and Art at the University of Havana and develops his creative work at El Bajareke Studio, located in Miami’s Bird Road Art District.
His artistic vision merges literature, sculpture and personal memory through themes that explore human emotion, atmosphere and symbolism. Working primarily with steel, stainless steel and bronze, Pérez Alemán creates one-of-a-kind pieces influenced by movement, water, construction materials and the relationship between man and time.
Alongside his sculptural work, he is the author of several novels including La cueva de los hechizos, El robo de las marionetas and Bella del Bar, continuing a literary universe centered on mystery, memory and human conflict.
His work has been exhibited in festivals and institutions throughout Florida, including Spectrum Miami during Art Basel, Coconut Grove Arts Festival and Florida International University.
Armando Pérez Alemán (Cienfuegos, Cuba, 1955) es escritor y escultor radicado en Miami desde 1980. Estudió Letras y Arte en la Universidad de La Habana y desarrolla su trabajo creativo en el estudio El Bajareke, ubicado en el Bird Road Art District de Miami.
Su visión artística une literatura, escultura y memoria personal a través de temas que exploran la emoción humana, la atmósfera y el simbolismo. Trabajando principalmente con acero, acero inoxidable y bronce, Pérez Alemán crea piezas únicas influenciadas por el movimiento, el agua, los materiales de construcción y la relación del hombre con el tiempo.
Paralelamente a su obra escultórica, es autor de las novelas La cueva de los hechizos, El robo de las marionetas y Bella del Bar, continuando un universo literario centrado en el misterio, la memoria y los conflictos humanos.
Su obra ha sido exhibida en festivales e instituciones de Florida, incluyendo Spectrum Miami durante Art Basel, Coconut Grove Arts Festival y Florida International University.
